Aamra Shahid completed her studies in Applied Zoology from University of Karachi. As a student, she worked for Badme-Talba as a writer and also conducted various scientific programs. At an early age, she joined Radio Pakistan as writer and Host of Humari Aur Aalimi Tajurbaa Gaahain which was a weekly program. Soon after graduation, she joined the pharmaceutical industry and became the first woman Zonal Sales Manager due to which she was invited on PTV on a women empowerment program.
Soon after, she started conducting a program on PTV, Sehat o Sukoon for which she researched and wrote as well. Finally, she completely switched to the Media industry nine years back. Some of her renowned works include a Kambakht Tanno on A Plus, Faltu Larki on A Plus, Noor-e-Zindagi on Geo, Izn-e-Rukhsat on Geo, Gohar-e-Nayab on A Plus, Shehr-e-Ajnabi on A Plus, Shab-e-Zindagi on HUMTV, Ek Pal on HUMTV, Mere Meherbaan on HumTV, Rukhsar on Geo, Jeena Dushwar Sahi on PTV, Mere Jeenay ki Waja on A Plus, Gila Kissay Karain on Express Entertainment and Tum Kaun Piya on Urdu One. She has also contributed to Extras Comedy Series on Humtv as well as Kitni Girhain Baaqi Hain.
During her career, she has also written legendary telefilms like Mehndi Laga K Rakhna on Geo, Sentimental, Bus Ek Sanam Chahiye, Haseena Maan Jayegi, Dhatt Tere Ki, Maikaay Ka Shahrukh Khan and Yeh Kaunsa Diyaar Hai on HUMTV. Multitalented Aamra is a lyricist as well. She has been recognized for her brilliant work various times, her telefilm Sentimental was nominated as Best Telefilm at HUMTV Awards and Mere Meherbaan was nominated as Best Drama in HUMTV Awards.
BOL welcomes Veteran Writer, Director & revered Media personality, Noor-ul-Huda Shah to the BOL Entertainment team.
Noor-ul-Huda Shah completed her undergraduate education from Sindh University. During her studies, she passionately wrote Sindhi short stories for digests which were later compiled into books and also translated in both English and Urdu. Soon after completing her education, she joined PTV and worked on single plays. In 1983, her first serial, Jungle, was aired on PTV which won several awards including the Best Writer and Best Play. In the following years, she wrote different famous serials for PTV, a few of them are Tappish, Hawa Ki Beti, Faaslay, Asmaan Tek Deewar, Ajaaeb Khaana, Badalon Per Basaayra and Marvi.
In the early 2000s, when Private Media Groups launched, Noor-ul-Huda joined GEO and worked on Sheeshay Ka Mahal, GEO’s first soap as Producer and Writer. Other famous projects with GEO in early times include Thori Si Mohabbat and Meri Adhoori Mohabbat. In 2003, when HUM TV was about to be launched, she became one of the pillars for HUM TV and joined as Director Script. During the launch, she designed the structure and worked on the entire content for the channel. Some of her renowned works from this time include Dil Diya Dehleez, Mann-o-Salwa, Laa Haasil, Jhumka Jaan and Mere Paas Paas. Throughout this time, she trained big names like Umera Ahmed, Riffat Siraaj, Sameera Fazal, Atif Alvi, Bushra Ansari, Babar Javed, Momina Duraid and others.
Then, she joined a Private Production house which produced famous programs including Zip and Zeenat Binte Sakina Haazir Ho. A few months later, she joined Geo again as Senior Executive Producer, this is when she produced big serials like Ek Nazar Meri Taraf, Jannat Se Nikaali Hui Auraat, Aasmaano Per Likha Hai and Bashar Momin.
She also worked as Information Minister in the Caretaker Sindh Government for three months after leaving from Geo. Later, she joined APlus as CEO, at this position she was the one who planned and designed everything for the channel and provided serious competition to the leading HUM TV because of which, she was soon offered the position of Senior Vice President at HUM and she started to work on HUM Sitaaray.
Other than the above stated, she had worked on various other projects in her free time. During the last 10 years, she worked with Johns Hopkins University in USA on awareness topics like women empowerment and health. She wrote for Johns Hopkins as well as did consultancy for them. Currently, her show Sammi is on-air on HUMTV which was done in collaboration with Johns Hopkins as well. At the moment, Noor-ul-Huda Shah is working on a Foreign Project - an English movie with Pakistani story and characters. She also writes Urdu columns and blogs on current affairs in renowned blogs like Laaltain and Aalmi Dunia.
Her vast experience in the industry and successful projects have been recognized numerous times. She has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Gold Medal from PTV as well as many other awards including the Shahlateef Award, Fatima Jinnah Award, Nighaar Awards, Rotary Club Awards, Pride of Performance National Award, Woman Achiever Award by the Working Women Organisation, SANA Lifetime Achievement Award, New Zealand Drama Festival and Germany Drama Festival Awards.
She is an enthusiastic activist and loves working for the community, social & political issues, women empowerment and other human rights.
BOL welcomes Torchbearer of Quality Comedy, Acclaimed Director & the Powerhouse of Talent, Rana Rizwan to the BOL Entertainment team.
Rana Rizwan completed his undergraduate education in 1994 from Government Islamia Science College, Karachi, followed by a 4-year-long diploma course in advertising from Studio Art, Karachi. He began his advertising career with Interflow Communications as an intern. After a brief stint at the company, he joined another advertising agency, Origins, in 1999 and worked there for an year. During his tenure at the agency, he worked for a number of clients, including famous refrigeration company, Dawlance, and played a pivotal role in revamping its entire advertising campaign. Despite being at the zenith of his career, he left Origins in 2000 to launch his own advertising agency named Velocity and worked for several clients, including DC Pager and renowned dress designers such as Nadya Mistry. After stepping into the world of comedy production, Rana Rizwan would go from success to success and earn a reputation of being one of the best comedy directors that Pakistan has ever seen.
Rana Rizwan left advertising for the world of TV production in 2001. During this time, he interned with acclaimed TV producer Mehreen Jabbar. After getting sufficient exposure to the electronic media, in 2001 Rana Rizwan did a sitcom, Sub Set Hai, as an Assistant Director with Indus Vision. Meanwhile, he continued to conduct several magazine shows for PTV. He continued learning and experimenting in the field of comedy production after joining Moomal Productions in 2003 where he worked for Hum TV for nearly five years.
He continued to hone his directorial skills by doing several telefilms and projects which gained immense popularity among the audiences. He also directed another successful show with actor Mani which had a 100-episode run. Later, in 2007, he joined ARY Music as Content Head and the assignment proved to be a great learning experience for him. After leaving the channel in 2008, he worked as a freelancer for a while during which he released two comedy serials, Hum Tum for GEO and Badtameez for ARY before launching into his career’s biggest project - Bulbulay - in 2009. During the same time, he joined ARY Digital and created another popular sitcom, Dugdugi.

Khalid Ahmed completed his Master’s degree from University of California, he was initially trained as an Engineer and taught for many years at NED University, Karachi. All this while, his interest in theatre and television continued to grow. In 1981, he finally decided to switch careers and went off to study theatre at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Upon his return he devoted himself fully to the performing arts. Since then, his contribution to theatre and television drama has been immense. He also has a long experience of actor training and has served as the Head of Dramatic Studies for ten years at the National Academy of Performing Arts, Karachi (NAPA).
Being an actor, director and even a writer; he has worked for numerous projects for Pakistan’s Entertainment Industry. One of his most celebrated performance was aired on PTV, drama serial Phir Youn Love Hua in which he played the role of Amman Mamun. Around the same time, he also directed the drama serial Faisla for Indus Vision. After the introduction of private channels in Pakistan, he worked in a number of ventures, some of his famous projects are Chand Pe Dastak on HUM TV, Amar Bail on TV One, Nindya Kyun Jalti Jaye on TV One and Uraan on GEO TV. He has also worked on telefilms including Ae Bhai Zara Dekh Ke, Climax and Aik Aur Aurat for HUM TV. He also worked in the long play, Koun which aired from TV One.
As Producer & Director, he has worked on serials like Dastak, Dil e Nadaan, Jashn ka Din and Talkhiyan. He has also produced several drama series based on literature such as Aj Ki Kahaaniyan, Adabi Kahanian, Partition Stories and Stories from the Muslim World.

Kanwal Khoosat completed her Bachelors from National College of Arts, Lahore in 2005. She also won the Saadat Hassan Manto Dramatics Award for Best Female Performer in 2005. She is highly experienced and she is also the Owner & Executive Director of Olomopolo Media which works on theatre, television and film productions along with social intervention projects.

BOL welcomes Award-Winning Cinematographer and Leading Director, Najaf Bilgrami to the BOL Entertainment Team.
Najaf Bilgrami studied film-making at London Film School and decided to largely devote his life to film-making, cinematography in particular. In 2004 he was the Director of Photography for Bhuli Hui Hoon Dastan, a feature length documentary which has been screened at The South Asian Film Festival New York 2005, KARA Film Festival 2004, Bite the Mango Film Festival – Bradford 2005, The Delhi Digital Film Festival 2005, and ‘Pehli Dhahdkan’ Pakistani Film Festival – Glasgow 2005. The film has played at schools and universities across the country and internationally, and recently aired on both Geo and Geo News as part of the ‘Geomentary’ series.
In 2005, he shot and directed the short film Mind The Gap which was screened later at Kara Film Festival and in that process, he brought about his own film company Kaneeza Films. In 2006, he filmed Pakistan’s first HD film Zibahkhana (Hellsground) as cinematographer which was shown in more than 25 film festivals and also won the Jury award for best film at Rio Fan Film Festival at Rio De Janeiro in 2008. Soon after, Najaf co-directed and filmed the documentary, Wagah with Supriyo Sen that went on to win the Berlin Today Award at the 59th Berlinale 2009.
Najaf Bilgrami has worked on numerous projects for both TV and Cinema during his career; some of his famous works are Six Degrees, Shama, Madarsa, Dukhtar, Naram Garam, Cheetay, Nain Takia, Naraz, Laloo Lal.com, Naraz, Tum Meri Ho, Dekho Chand Aya, Ahsas and DilNawaz. Najaf Bilgrami has also contributed to the education sector of Pakistan. He took over coordinator-ship of Media Sciences at SZABIST in 2009. During his tenure, he headed the biggest student film festival in Pakistan called Zab Film Festival (ZFF 2010). Najaf continues to teach Media Sciences as an Adjunct Faculty Member at various universities.

Furqan T. Siddiqui has been part of the Media Industry since 20 years and has vast experience locally and internationally in the Broadcasting and Media Production Industry as a Drama and Programs Director and Executive Producer (Entertainment, Infotainment and Sports). Haseeb Hasan is one of the most critically acclaimed directors along with being popular among the masses in Pakistan as well as globally, especially among South Asian viewers. Hasan has received several awards for his work including three Lux Style Awards. He has also been recognized as the Best Director by Hum Awards. Moreover, he has been nominated for multiple other local and international prestigious accolades.

Shahid Naqvi completed his Masters in International Relations from Hyderabad Sindh University and began his career with Radio Pakistan around 18 years back.
He also has experience of Print Media, Shahid Naqvi was Reporter and Magazine Editor for Daily Pakistan Islamabad and Daily Ausaaf Pakistan and wrote for Popular Columns including Ashoobay Chasham & Aks Dar Aks. He was also Incharge for Showbiz and Sports Color Pages for a long period.
Eventually, he started his career as an actor and writer. He began working with PTV and later moved to GEO and was part of the Founding Team. Some of his famous works include Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain, Pyaar Kahaani, Siyahsi Academy, Mahmoodabad ki Malkaaen, Kaash Mein Teri Beti Na Hoti and Daam.
He has also written the Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain song. He worked on Pitti Hui News which is the first political satire mock news channel. Raasta, the recently launched feature film starring Sahir Lodhi was also written by Shahid Naqvi.

Some of his famous plays as Director and Writer include Shaadi Ka Ladoo which aired on Express and Chehray which aired on PTV, Dulha Bhai and Main aur Tum which were aired on ARY. Other legendary works include Tanveer Fatima BA, Chemistry, Chehrey, Dilnawaz, Takeaway, Maan Na Maan, Hastey Bastey and Half Set.

Qasim Latif completed his Bachelors from Karachi University and then joined the Media industry in 1984. He has a diverse portfolio and has directed various programs.
Some of his works include Rasgullay, Joru Ka Gulaam, Shaadi Ka Ladoo, Kiya Yehi Pyaar Hai series, Bhatti and DD, Socha Na Tha, Gath Jorh, Chain Aaye Na, Kaisi Hain Yeh Dooriyan, Ahsaas, Jub Jub Dil Milay, Naseeb, Khaandan, Phool Wali Galli, Bus Stand, Saudai-e-Dil, Dasht-e-Dil, Waada, Yunhi Kubhi Kubhi, Kuch Na Kaho, Tere Ajaanay Se and Gulzaar Classic Series. Zafar Mairaj studied Civil Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar and soon after his graduation he entered the Media Industry in 1993, his passion for writing and expressing his thoughts motivated him. He is a Pakistani drama writer, lyricist, and short story writer.
He primarily writes in Urdu, but has also written in Brahui, and Balochi. He mainly writes about problems faced by the Lower Middle Class as he himself belonged to the same deprived class of the society. The themes chosen along with bold and blunt style of writing about life's harsh realities make him stand out from other writers.
He has written more than 50 drama serials, drama series, short plays and telefilms, for National television PTV (Pakistan Television) as well as for most of the private channels in Pakistan like Geo TV, AAJ TV, ARY Digital, Indus Vision, TVOne Global, Hum TV. A few of his masterpieces include Muqabil, Munkir, Dumpukht, Sufaid Posh, Vanee, Muqaddas, Sangat, Shantul, Ashq, Yalgaar, Mein Ek Din Laut Ke Aaoga and Mohabbat Ki Akhri Kahani.
He had also written the first draft of the famous movie, WAAR. He won numerous awards for his outstanding work in the industry including PTV Award for his serial Shantul, Best Writer TV Film Award in Indus Telefilm Festival for Murad, Best Writer for his Drama Series Maa Aur Mamta in The 1st Indus Drama Awards, Best Writer PTV Prize for Kohzade, Lux Style Awards Best Drama Serial Award for Lyari Express and he has been nominated for many other awards.
BOL welcomes the Legendary Writer, Respectable Poet and Renowned Print and Electronic Media Personality, Seema Ghazal to the BOL Entertainment Team.
Seema Ghazal completed her education from Sir Syed Girls College in 1976. During her teenage, she wrote for Aao Bachon Kahaani Suno and also worked as a Radio Artist. Soon after, she wrote her first Radio Program titled Subeh 9. In 1986, she joined DoSheeza magazine and worked for more than 12 years as an Editor. Throughout this period, she wrote around five thousand stories for digests and magazines.
In 1998, she wrote the first drama serial i.e. Manzilein for PTV which was a super hit. In her career, she has worked on over 500 dramas serials and over 400 serials have been on air on all local entertainment channels including HUM, ARY, GEO and PTV. Her portfolio also comprises of two poetry books which are Mein Saye Khud Banati Hun and Adha Sooraj Adha Chand which were published in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Mein Saye Khud Banati Hun won the Parveen Shakir Khushboo Aks Award in the same year as it was published in. She also received the Ahmed Faraz Husn-e-Karkardagi Award.
Seema Ghazal has won around thirty International and National Awards. Some of which include the Lux Style Awards for writing several plays including Mehndi, Chandni Raatain and Hum Se Juda Na Hona for three years in a row as well as a National Award for her play Aurat Ka Koi Ghar Nahi which aired on PTV. Her plays, Mehndi and Chandini Raatain proved to be a record breaking TV rating magnets attracting up to 57 minutes of advertisements in merely a 42 minute episode.

Iqbal Bano has been in the industry since 1979, she started writing at a young age and wrote over 600 Afsaanay. Eventually, she started writing Novels and Books, her diverse collection comprises of Sheesha Gar, Ghoongay Dukh, Darwaza Khula Rakhna, Tujhe Har Jagah Pukaara, Chandni aur Angan, Ek Bar Milo Humse, Khuwaaish, Mere Saajan, Mein Tere Sath Chalti Rahi, Meda Ishq Vi Tuu, Ghustaaq Ankhiyan and many more. She also worked on Afsaanon Kay Majmoonain like Koi Sajjan Mol Le Aaway and Ishq mein Roug Hazaar Paen.
She is also the First Saraiki Women Novel Writer and has written Sawal Mor Baharaan in Saraiki and a book with Sairaiki Poems titled Dil Taang Taangay. In 2011, she started writing for drama serials and within six years, she has made a mark in the industry by writing famous dramas including Mar Jaen Bhi Toh Kiya for HUM TV, Jeena Dushwar Sahi for PTV, Susraal Meri Behen Ka for GEO TV, Bechari Mehrunnissa for GEO TV. Over has career, she won numerous awards including the Dosheeza Writer Award and Sawal Sangal Award for her work in Saraiki and three Pakeeza Digest Awards.

Syed Sajjad Imam completed his Bachelors from Karachi University and then entered the Media Industry in 2007. He has written various Drama Serials including Perfume Chowk, Khatti Meethi Zindagi, Aslam Bhai & Company, Dil Ka Rung Karun, Sitaara Jahaan Ki Betiyaan, Ae Haye Kambakhat, Pagli, Shaadi Ka Ladoo, Kitni Girhein Baaqi Hain and Susraal Kay Rung Annokhay.
He has also worked on Taan, a Musical Serial. His other experiences include writing Telefilms and Blogs for Dawn. Some of the famous telefilms that he has worked on include Ooper Gori Ka Makaan, Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi, Ishq for Sale, Shaadi Ka Tarkaa and Band Baj Gaya.

Adeel Razzaq completed his bachelors from Karachi University. He has been in Pakistan’s media industry since the past five years. He has written several dramas for Hum TV including Jiya Na Jae, Muqaddas and Deewana. In total, he has written 12 single plays for Hum Tv and 4 single plays for ARY.
Amna Riaz belongs to Okara city, she graduated from Punjab University and began her career in the Media Industry in 2014. She is a fiction writer and has written about the ethical, cultural, and social issues which prevail in the society.
In a young age, she started writing episodic stories for Monthly Urdu digests such as Kiran, Khawateen Digest and Shuaa. Eventually, her separate novels were released including Basat-e-Dil, Tum Jo Akhri Jazeera Ho, Merg-e-Wafa and Sitaara-e-Shaam. She made her entry in the Media industry with writing the famous drama serial, Vasl-e-Yaar for ARY Digital.

Irfan Ahmed Urfi completed his Masters in 1984 from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. Post graduation, he attended numerous international training sessions which include workshops on Gender Sensitization and Creativity for Drama Production organized by Trish Williams, workshop based on Politics & Civil Society organized by International Academy for Leadership in Germany and 6th CALD Communications Workshop in Hong Kong.
He has worked on famous projects including Barish Mein Likhi Kahani, Aan, Armaan, Hum Sipahi Hain, Lamha, ZIP – Bus Chup Raho, Band Khirkyon Kay Peechay, Chaap,Baji, Kahani Pyaar Ki, Aurat Aik Kahani, Sachaayan, Parchaiyaan, Pyaas, Dil Ka Drama, Manjdhar & Chaukhat. Irfan Ahmed Urfi is known for writing strong scripts and his work has been recognized multiple times in PTV Drama Festival. Irfan Ahmed Urfi also has publications to his credit; Paaon 'پاوں', & Control Room are collections of short stories. Irfan's elaborative weaving of ordinary scenes from everyday life maps news ways of storytelling and for this he deserves accolades. For his great work, he has received the Aks Best Fiction of the year Award 2015 by Parveen Shakir Trust and he was also nominated for the Best Urdu Fiction Award in Karachi Literature Festival 2015-16.

Rabia Abdul Razzaque belongs to Azad Kashmir and has been in the industry for 17 years, she completed her Masters in Communication degree from Karachi University in 2000. She is known for writing great romance and emotional content. Rabia started her career with Khawateen Digest, she was initially part of the Editorial Team where she mainly worked on short stories. Soon after, her first novel titled “Khawab, Khuaaish, Zindagi” got published.
Rabia’s entry in Electronic Media was through FM 103 where she worked for a few years after which she joined Samaa News as News Producer. During the five years with Samaa, she was writing short stories as well as novels and soon after, she realized she should write drama serials. Her mentor was Noor-ul-Huda Shah who helped her develop the first drama which was Jannat Se Nikaali Hui Auraat. Her famous projects include Aasmaano Per Likha, Tera Mera Rishta and Mor-e-Saaiyan. Then, she spent three years at GEO as Head of Content and worked on great projects like Dua and Annabiya Tumhari Hui. After leaving GEO, she joined iDream as Head of Content and worked on various projects for ARY.

Saima Akram completed her Masters in Mass Communication & Urdu Literature from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan and Islamia University, Bahawalpur respectively. She began writing stories for children during her school days in 1994 and started writing novels during her university life. In 2013, she started writing drama serials and since then, she has written numerous famous scripts including Mohabbat Ab Nahi Hogi, Anaya Tumhari Hui, Meray Ajnabi, Mera Dard Na Janay Koi, Adhi Gawahi, Mirpur Ki Maya, Shaam Kay Baad and Silsila.
Moreover, she has also written novels like Band Mutthi Mein Sulagti Raet, Deemakzada Mohabbat, Ibn-e-Adam, Seeyah Hashya, Aik Rasam Mohabbat Hai and Gumshuda Jannat. During her career, she has also worked as a Lecturer at Federal Government College, Rawalpindi and as Sub-Editor for Shifa News, Islamabad.
